When the attribute is big difference ...
One thing that makes me so angry (and of course enrages the many trangender or transgender people) is the 'wrong attribution (attribute the fact!) Gender referring to transsexuals.
A familiar example is that of Patricia, became famous after the events of Lapo Elkann. If you remember all the newspapers (and journalists) spoke, as always do in these cases, transit Patrizia, in the world ....

On the contrary, and I imagine at the same time, other sites more "evolved" THE report instead the words correct trans (an example here ).
A journalist friend has replied on this issue, claiming that no one can know everything, "but you said it to me I would never know", etc. ...
Well, because this ignorance prevails even among my colleagues, we seek to clarify and give correct information. Hoping that everyone will sooner or later they know who they are finally trans people.
How many sexes are there?
Two. There are only male and female sex. The dilemma arises when we introduce the concept of genetic or chromosomal sex, better known as organic. Let me explain.
Each of us inherits genes from mom and dad and of these the sex chromosomes X and / or Y.
We all know that the male (genetic / biological) is characterized by the presence of XY chromosomes. Conversely, the female has XX.
Then there are more genres ...
Sometimes, however, that the genetic sex does not coincide with the secondary sexual characters, as in cases of intersex (eg pseudohermaphroditism).
Or does not coincide with the genus to which they feel they belong. That can be XY, XX then female but feel and live this discrepancy with extreme mental suffering. It 'just the case of transsexuals who want more than anything else in the world realign their psyche and their own to the physical nature has provided them.
What this has to do with sexual orientation?
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Sexual orientation is not affected either by thoughts, desires, or by hormones or therapies, both medical and psychological.
Sexual orientation determines the choice of / partner of which we are attracted sexually and emotionally. It has nothing to do with genre in which I identify.
For example, I can be XY but be attracted to a woman and feel (not drawn even if they are still anagrafe Julius!) From men, but are NOT gay!!
I am transgender, I am a MtF, an acronym that identifies the transition from male (Male) to (To) female (Female).
On the contrary, but I could feel the twentieth man and being attracted to women, but I would not be a lesbian. I would be a FtM.

Confusion?
Well, I guess it's normal with all these concepts as complex and intricate, and then all together ...:)
